It is 4:30 in the morning.

I have been awake since 2:30.

I can’t seem to stop my brain from turning, from thinking about all the things that I want my life to be and how I am going to get to this new place.

My husband, River, and I have made a decision, we want his business ventures to be our business ventures. We want the businesses to be able to support both our salaries and for me to be home with our six-year-old son. We want to live a more sustainable life on our one acre of land, grow a productive garden and preserve our food. To live a simpler life with time and resources to see the places we want our family to see.

So I am awake! I am opening my eyes to new possibilities, new ways of thinking, learning new skills, and having the patience and perseverance to succeed, to building a simpler life for my family.

I am awake.

Good morning, good morning, good morning!
